The one tour you really want in Niihama is not on any international platform: the guided minibus from Minetopia Besshi up to the Tonaru ruins. It is run by the park itself, with commentary in Japanese, and is the simplest way to tackle a mountain road that is too narrow for comfort. Reserve by phone or online through Minetopia Besshi, ideally a few days ahead in autumn.
